National Bike Week and Harlow's Sculptures
No better place to be when twinning cycling on Harlow's cycle tracks and visiting the amazing variety of Harlow's sculptures.
Covent Garden and Project 2009
Florence, Beatrice and Jake went to Covent Garden with Rae and Dave to see the street entertainers and to have coffee. They then set out to discover the locations of various London West End features by walking! The last destination was the impressionist rooms at the National Gallery. Later they went shopping with Ruby at Top Shop at Oxford Circus by tube, where Jake bought lots of socks, and they finished up at the Empire Leicester Square to see "Star Trek".

website updates
The gallery has at long last been brought into 2009 with a new look for the page and a new strategy for albums and videos, including a large slideshow facility. Check it out.
I have given the home and news pages a spring clean and a broader look. From now on, news will accumulate on the news page and the home page will contain relatively recent news and be more compact.

apartamentos durazno sur el medano --- thankyou rosie!
We stayed again at the apartments in el medano over Easter. We had a great time --- Ella joined us for a week after the successful European netball tour of Sheffield University Netball Club. The apartments are delightfully sited overlooking the plaza and the beach --- see the photos --- but we are made especially welcome by Rosie, Juliana and the other staff. We say a big thankyou to Rosie for her help and support at what was a difficult time over Christmas.
Some contrasting pictures all taken in early 2009. Those in El Medano show some of the attractions the local council organizes for the kids during the holiday at Easter. Click on the sidebar link to view photos/slideshow in larger size.

epilogue to `a rum punch' ***
I have added an epilogue to the story --- it's more like the end of the saga --- although I am not sure if it is over yet.
It is a story about a holiday that didn't quite go according to plan... or the next plan...
Read or download as a pdf file. It has been added to the Tir na n'Og collection on the writing page.
site design
The home page will show latest information relevant to the whole site. News at 10 will hold family and other news for longer periods. The record of the site is contained in past home pages, previous news at 10 pages and the the present range of pages on the ring tabs in the navigation row..
If you have an idea of what you want, you can search the site through the google facility located at the foot of the navigation column.
*** & ==
As an aid to looking for what is new and what is coming, I have continued to mark
- new or updated items on the site with `***'
